I took a very long weekend for Memorial weekend (5 days total) and started attacking projects like a crazy man. Here’s all the small stuff, setting aside the big one I also completed–that gets its own post.

First off we look at the rats. I completed a unit of Ratmen Veterans. They’re simple, clean models that I found very easy to paint. Very happy with these.

Next was the rat ogre. I love this model. He took me a while to paint but it was well worth the effort!

My son also completed some gators and geckos, which we immediately put to work in a game of AOF Skirmish. It was a fun time and I have to say my son is really improving as a painter!

A few more green odds and ends. I completed more of my Noch brand trees. These are based into 40mm MDF bases and flocked. I also organized the basements and found some spare material I used to build a few jungle bases. They’re not spectacular but they’ll serve their purpose in a larger board.

Finally, my Midgard bases! These will be used for my battle of Clontarf. They’re magnetized and will work as movement trays for all the single based figures.

I’m definitely happy with the effect. These will look great en masse.

Finally, a small preview. This is half of the board with the resin mostly cured. This will become my board for the Battle of Clontarf and hopefully see more action in a variety of settings this year. More details on process and result coming soon.
Alongside a newly reorganized basement and hobby desk (as well as clean gutters, new gutter extensions, and a new bike for the kiddo) I can safely say it was a very productive weekend. I need to do this more often.
