I get this question in my inbox sometimes and thought I’d put a simple blurb here.
I’m Sandro Teixeira, author of this blog and Wargame Analyst by trade. It’s a real job–I promise. Here’s my LinkedIn for vague evidence:

I have played wargames since I was a teenager, so close to twenty-odd years as of my writing of this post. I have wargamed professionally since 2023 and spent time as chair of the Wargaming Working Group (30) for the Military Operations Research Society.
Despite how opinionated I am, none of those opinions reflect the beliefs, attitudes, or standings of any organization I may be associated with. And, of course, none of this means you should take my words seriously as a hobbyist gamer.
Beyond the work stuff I am a dad who plays a lot of games with his son and spends a fair amount of his hobby effort toward things that his kid might like. I am a member of a cool club, Victory Gamers, and a lifelong Northern Virginian. I’ve played a fair amount of every miniatures game genre and plan to continue doing so for the foreseeable future. You’ll find I hop around a lot–likely more than the average wargamer. I hope this means my little corner of the internet proves an interesting source of inspiration across a variety of wargaming endeavors.
Oh, and I like terrain. Love it, even. Maybe more than the miniatures…
