A simple one today–I got through painting some dashboards for What a Cowboy. These are entirely optional. You can of course track the game with some dice, but the moment I saw these I had to have them. I got the file from https://www.wargaming3d.com/product/what-a-cowboy-character-dashboard and found it to be worth the relatively small cost.

Overall, I completed enough to field 14 cowboys with shotguns, rifles, or revolvers. Why 14? I… don’t fully recall. I believe I had mapped out a scenario for four players and concluded this was the right number of dashboards for it. As to how they function: you roll dice which tell you the actions each cowboy can take. As your cowboy gets hurt, he loses dice. You move your dice from your available Action Dice row to your Shock Dice row.

Whenever you shoot, you deduct a bullet, so you actually pull them out of the chamber there. As you reload, you reload a single bullet at a time. The Bonanza coin is a special token used for special effects during the game. You can have multiple, so the dashboard has the space to hold them.

Overall, these are really nifty and I think they’ll add a great tactile experience whenever I finally get around to cowboying.

  1. I don’t know the game, but I love 3d printed dashboards that not only make the game easier to play, but are thematic as well! They look great.
