For my birthday this year I took time off work to tackle two outstanding terrain projects and finish a third. Here’s the first of the batch: Fantasy Egypt.

Lame name, I admit. It’s a desert board with fantasy leanings. I made it for Silver Bayonet but I can probably call it an Alaki’ir board for Elder Scrolls. I have additional desert scatter I can include to flesh it out more.

The files were from a Kickstarter from years ago from EC3D designs. I rather like them. They’re slightly fantasy without going over the top.

He did a great job including scatter, like the couches seen here. I didn’t print as much as I could have and may regret it later–but at least the project was digestable in a day!

I like the contrast of colors with the tents and scatter. It provides just enough pop. I have rocks I can add in that are reddish brown and once it’s all together I’ll have a pretty great board or two for fantasy deserts.

Players will see this board as soon as next week for our next chapter in our Silver Bayonet campaign. I’ll likely push it to be two tables using other scatter so we can really use the Egypt expansion for the game.
Well, one project down. At least four more printed tables to go…
