I wrapped up four Ghulams–the largest batch paint I’ll likely do for Infinity. Every other miniature varies greatly in how I approach it, so I’ll likely being doing one an evening from here.
The Ghulams gave me a chance to nail down the colors and highlights. I’m reasonably happy with them, but their eyes proved difficult. I settled for okay looking eyes that are perhaps too subtle.
I love the sculpts. They feel like proper scifi soldiers. My favorite sculpt is the doctor. She’s the one with the white bag. Just a fun pose and the bag is a great detail. I enjoyed painting them so much I even went back and touched up Yara. I prefer the way I did the green here.
The khaki color is Heavy Warm White from Pro Acryl, washed with seraphim Sepia, the touched up again with the base color. The green is Pro Acryl Green, followed by Pro Acryl Oxide. The purple is Pro Acryl Purple highlighted with Pro Acryl Magenta then further highlighted with Pro Acryl Magenta mixed 50/50 with Pale Yellow from AK.
Can you guess what paint I bought at NOVA Open a month back?
Anyway, shots:
